In the Samara Region it is planned to attract 12 billion rubles for the construction of livestock farms
On Friday, August 23, the Governor of the Samara Region Dmitry Azarov and the General Director of EkoNiva-APK Holding LLC Stefan Duerr signed an agreement on cooperation between the holding and the Government of the region. The largest agricultural holding in Russia, which is engaged in crop production, meat and dairy farming, is already working in several regions of the country. The company's management intends to invest about 12 billion rubles in the construction of livestock farms in the Samara Region.
The agreement was preceded by a lot of work both from the side of the regional Government and the ministry of food and agriculture of the region, and from the side of the agricultural holding. Its representatives examined in detail the sites where livestock farms can be placed, evaluated the investment attractiveness of the province and the level of government support provided.
In addition, other factors influenced the choice of the Samara Region for investment. “Here is a convenient location in relation to existing complexes in neighboring regions. And we know that in the region there are many factories for the processing of raw milk, and also there is a high purchasing power of dairy products”, said Stefan Duerr.
The general director of EkoNiva said that the company intends to build at least 3 large livestock complexes in the region with a total population of at least 10 thousand. Among the priority sites for the implementation of the project is considered the Klyavlinsky district of the region. They plan to begin construction here next spring.
“I am glad that our joint preparatory work, including the justification of the project, the search for sites, has led to a result,” said Dmitry Azarov. - I want to thank you for the decision. I expect that further work will lead to the successful implementation of the project”.
The head of the region assured the head of the Russian agricultural holding that the Government of the region will accompany the project at all stages of its implementation: “The project for the development of dairy and beef cattle breeding is extremely important for us. This direction is one of the priority in the region’s agriculture”.
In addition to the site in the Klyavlinsky district, several more are considered, in particular, in the Borsky district of the region. “In no case should we lose our momentum,” said Dmitry Azarov. - It is necessary for each potential site to outline a work plan, specific project implementation dates. This is extremely important for both the investor and the residents of the region, because it there will be created new jobs”.
Stefan Duerr thanked the Governor for the “constructive approach of the team” in resolving emerging issues and the constant attention and interest on the part of the regional authorities in implementing the investment project.
