The XVIII Russian Investment Forum was held from the 14th to the 15th of February in Sochi - the key economic platform of the country, providing an opportunity for the interaction of federal and regional authorities with the representatives of the business community, heads of leading companies in various sectors of the economy and social spheres. The delegation of the Samara Region was led by the head of the region Dmitry Azarov.
The Samara Region became the winner in the “Qualified Customer” nomination of the “Rosinfra” Award, having shown the best results in the Public-Private Partnerships project management, and whose work with the investors was highly appreciated.
Dmitry Azarov noted that the Samara Region is a highly industrialized region: “It is clear that the main contribution to the economy is made by our industrial enterprises, the largest enterprises that are part of the “Rostec”, “Roscosmos” and others. Samara is the capital of the aerospace industry. But at the same time, of course, we have a very serious potential for the development of the agro-industrial sector”.
During the second day of the Russian Investment Forum, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev held a meeting with the heads of the regions. Dmitry Azarov was also among the participants.
Opening the meeting, the Prime Minister announced the signing of a decree of the Government of the Russian Federation on the creation of 14 territories of advanced socio-economic development (TASED). Chapayevsk, the city of the Samara Region, was among them. TASED is an area with favorable tax conditions and simplified administrative procedures. This solution will attract domestic and foreign investors to the city and create comfortable conditions for business development.
“As a result, this should help territories to overcome their dependence on city-forming enterprises and, most importantly, lead to the creation of new jobs that are not connected with these enterprises, just to give life to these settlements”, D.A. Medvedev also noted that the assignment of the TASED status is of particular importance as the implementation of 12 national projects begins this year in Russia.
